Submit a screenshot, or file, of your work to the assignment labeled “Weekly Creation Assignment” This is an optional assignment that is due before the next quiz.

You are a nurse working in an intensive care unit. You just admitted a client that was recently discharged from the inpatient unit with a diagnosis of Major Depressive Disorder for a suicide attempt from overdosing on phenelzine. The client is a 22-year old Korean-American female, a senior college student and lives alone in a dormitory. The client stated, “After I went to college, my family moved back to Korea. I have been very lonely but there is no way that I could tell my family this. It is not good to show any signs of weakness.” Create any type of project that illustrates nursing considerations for caring for protective and risk factors of suicide.

The client states, “My medical provider said that I could do something called ECT and that I would be given drugs called succinylcholine, propofol, and atropine. I was just afraid of those big words so I told them I will think about it. Could you tell me more about ECT and and those drugs?”
